G.K.C.

You cannot evade the issue of God, whether you talk about pigs or the binomial theory, you are still talking about Him. Now if Christianity be. . . a fragment of metaphysical nonsense invented by a few people, then, of course, defending it will simply mean talking that metaphysical nonsense over and over. But if Christianity should happen to be true – then defending it may mean talking about anything or everything. Things can be irrelevant to the proposition that Christianity is false, but nothing can be irrelevant to the proposition that Christianity is true.

Culture of Hypocrisy

Democratic talking points noted the Republican “culture of corruption” when Tom DeLay stepped down from his leadership position recently.  All the MSM and liberal pundits were absolutely giddy with the “scandal.”  Well now it seems that the top Democrat on the ethics committee has stepped down amid his own corruption.

The top Democrat on the House ethics committee, Alan Mollohan, will leave the panel _ at least temporarily _ while he defends his own financial conduct, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Friday. Mollohan’s decision comes in an election year when his party is accusing majority Republicans of allowing a “culture of corruption” in Congress.

It just seems to me that when the Dems try to pin a charge like corruption on the Republicans, they should expect that some of the manure they fling will spatter on them as well.  In a city like DC, the “culture of corruption” effects most and for the libs to think that the public at large would buy into the notion that one party is morally pure is absurd. I guess they will have to find a new sound bite.
