I’m a big fan of Dr. Mike Adams, a professor of criminology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He writes a regular column at Townhall.com and I always look forward to his pieces. He is one of the few conservatives at the his university (and probably one of few conservative college professors generally.) He tends to have the same distain for liberals as I do and often turns their usual dribble into really funny satire. A recent column was particularly amusing. It’s entitled “The Mike Adams Action Figure” and he proposes a number of “positions” he holds that the doll could play at the push of a button. For example:
Our college campuses have become the last safe haven of Marxists, largely because its adherents have never had to survive in the real world, much less in a communist dictatorship. Indeed, there are more communists teaching in the State of North Carolina than there are in the former Soviet Union.
Many of those who are unfit for any job besides that of a tenured professor would be unemployed and homeless if we abolished tenure tomorrow. Without tenure, these people would not be such an irritation at work, although they would probably be just as irritating as panhandlers once the unemployment checks ran out.
