There is a new technology being developed that can essentially take a “look” at an individual under their clothing. The technology is being tested in Phoenix and guess which organization is objecting to possible privacy violations. Here’s one report:
The “Backscatter” machine to be used at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona will enable screeners to detect non-metallic devices and objects as well as weapons on a person’s body, authorities say.
But critics, including the American Civil Liberties Union some possibly being posted or traded on the Internet.
Now answer me this. When has the ACLU ever objected to public display of obscene material?
